About LA Idea


Learn the best and most innovative practices in your industry at specialized business incubators across the United States.

La Idea is a program that supports Latin American entrepreneurs with an interest in entering foreign markets. Participants spend two weeks working with the host incubator program to learn about the US market and understand the specific industry’s processes.

The program includes:

  • 5 days of workshops, lectures and visits to specialized facilities to learn about technologies developed in the US for each industry, US laws and regulations, how to become a part of the value chain in each industry, as well as US import and export requirements.
  • 5 additional days to work out of the host incubator’s facility to follow up on new relationships and opportunities generated during the first week.

  • November 30- December 11, 2015, at the Rutgers Food Innovation Centerhosted by Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station in Bridgeton, New Jersey

Advanced Manufacturing  (Brazilian companies only)

  • December 7-18, 2015, at the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center in McAllen, Texas
